The Kilnwood Loon Cam

Nest News: 7/7 – After watching the nest for weeks and seeing much interest in the nest by a loon pair, it is unfortunate that no nesting occurred in 2023. The live stream was shut down on Friday, June 30 and the updating still shots were discontinued on July 7’th.

The nest location was the same as in previous years, but there was a new camera, with night vision, and the images were transmitted 3/4 mile across the lake to a host with high-speed internet, allowing for live stream.

The project is sponsored by the Lake Kanasatka Watershed Association in partnership with the Loon Preservation Committee (loon.org).
