I went to college and came back during breaks to work in town to make my spending money. After college I settled back at the Lake until I found a my job in Massachusetts and relocated.
I still come back as often as possible to enjoy summer weekends at the Lake. I now take my family, my husband, and my two kids (13 and 10) to the Lake all summer long. One benefit of Covid-19 is the ability to now work from anywhere. Our family of four basically live with my parents all summer long to enjoy boat rides at the end of the work day, while the kids enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, and so much more every summer. They have the opportunity to have carefree summers as I did when I was little. Something my husband and I are so thankful to be able to give them. And of course grateful for the grandparents who watch them during the day!
I truly treasure our home on the Lake and when my brother and I inherit the home, we will continue to keep the cottage in the family for many generations to come.
Please help us save our Lake! The one constant of this ever changing life is enjoying the Lake whenever our family can and we plan to do so forever.
